Hi there! My name is Alessio and I am a full-stack software engineer with a passion for creating intuitive and visually appealing web applications. I graduated from the University of Waterloo earning myself a degree in Computer Science. With over 5 years of experience in the field, I have a strong foundation in a variety of programming languages including Javascript/Typescript, Python, Java/Kotlin and Go.

I am highly skilled in front-end development, utilizing technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to craft engaging user experiences. I've successfully worked on large projects utilizing React. On the back end, I have experience with various web frameworks (such as Django and Express.js) and enjoy building out the logic and functionality of web applications.

In my previous roles, I have worked on a variety of projects such as the merchant platform for Wish, esports platform for Riot Games, and currently a fintech platform for Brex. I am comfortable working with cross-functional teams and thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying up to date with the latest developments in the tech industry and expanding my skillset through personal projects. In my free time, I play competitive video games, exercise and jump from hobby-to-hobby just to try things.
